La Remix Chair | Chico Togni & Kadija de Paula
During the MALT AIR residency in collaboration with Maltfabrikken, Kunsthal Aarhus and the Danish Art Workshops, Chico Togni and Kadija de Paula designed the REMIX CHAIR.
The REMIX CHAIR is inspired by Enzo Mari’s manual Autoprogettazione.
In this book, published in 1974, the Italian designer defines a series of do-it-yourself furniture and establishes the principles of "good design": design that responds strictly to human needs, with the ambition to teach everyone about industrial design and to develop a critical view of the industry.
The Remix Chair is made of recycled textile panels manufactured in Denmark. These panels are essentially made from fabrics destined to be destroyed. In a desire to respect a virtuous manufacturing chain, they are made without the use of chemicals or toxic products and with the desire to save water. This innovative material offers a new reading of design by creating from the existing
